Originally a 1988 320i 2dr Coupe. Now with a M54B30. Was road legal, engine swap and coilovers have been certified, rego on hold. Car has been running in Classic Saloons, Continental Rennsport (BMW open class) and is eligible for Skope Classic where it has competed in the last 4 years. Most recently in the John Osbourne Saloon class. All original panels and glass. Currently fitted with a fibreglass bonnet but will also come with the original steel one too.
All work carried out on this car has been done over the last 3-4 years. Most recently the car has been rewired deleting all the old OEM wiring to avoid any future issues. At the same time a new AIM Strada dash with GPS installed.
Very capable well sorted car! Currently doing 1:36s around Ruapuna. Very tidy and hard to price a car like this due to all the work done.
Engine
M54B30 with 10.8mm cams, retainers, springs. Vanos delete.
M50 manifold.
Tuned for approx 280hp (237hp ATW).
Baffled sump.
Exhaust
Custom stainless steel 3” system with Adrenalin R rear muffler.
Cooling
Custom built radiator by Skeleton Eng using a PWR core. Maradyne fan (1560 cfm).
Gearbox and driveline
ZF 5 speed gearbox from an E36 M3
Heavy duty clutch.
Light weight flywheel.
Med case LSD diff, rebuilt with extra plates. 3.9 ratio.
Brakes
Braketech brake system with braided lines
Front – 6 piston calipers over 330mm 2pc slotted discs
Rear – 4 piston calipers over 300mm 2pc slotted discs
Suspension
XYZ adjustable coilovers
Wheels & Tyres
Light weight Apex 17” wheels with Kumho S700 Slicks 215/615/17
Also comes with 2 x Michelin Slicks, 2 x Kumho slick. 4 x road tyres and wheels.
Cage
8 point cage done by Raycroft Auto (Motorsport NZ recognized manufactuer).
Interior
Aim Strada dash (new) with GPS.
RaceTech seat.
Sabelt belts
OMP quick detach steering wheel.
